Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using OwnStay, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are registering on behalf of a property (as an owner) or as a prospective tenant, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms.

2. What OwnStay provides

OwnStay is a platform connecting PG/hostel property owners with prospective tenants, and providing owners with tools to manage properties, rooms, beds, tenants, rent, expenses, and related records. OwnStay facilitates bookings and payments between owners and tenants but is not itself the landlord or lessee of any listed property.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Owner responsibilities

Property owners are responsible for the accuracy of their listings (pricing, availability, amenities, images) and for complying with applicable local laws governing rental accommodation, safety, and tenant rights.

5. Tenant responsibilities

Tenants are responsible for providing accurate information during booking and KYC verification, and for complying with the house rules of the property they book.

6. Payments

Online payments made through OwnStay are processed via a third-party payment gateway. A platform fee may apply to online bookings as disclosed at checkout. Refunds and cancellations are subject to the individual property's stated policy.

7. Limitation of liability

OwnStay is not liable for disputes arising directly between owners and tenants, including but not limited to disputes over rent, deposits, property condition, or house rules, except where OwnStay has separately agreed to mediate.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of OwnStay after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
